There are Catholics and non-Catholics alike who take it as truth that the Catholic Church is no place for a self-respecting, intelligent woman. Authors Jennifer Ferrara and Patricia Sodano Ireland disagree. Both were ordained Lutheran ministers. Both became Roman Catholics.
