Discovering My Experience of God is designed especially to help Catholics know and affirm their personal stories of faith. This revised and expanded edition allows readers to do a simple and thoughtful set of exercises by which they can discover the signs and patterns of God’s presence in their lives. This awareness will help Catholics develop deeper insights into their own experience of God and assist them to share their faith with others. As a result they will be more confident and better equipped to participate in the saving mission of Jesus Christ. This book is divided into five chapters. Chapter one gives a simple but instructive explanation of how faith and experience belong together in our lives; chapter two gives the exercises themselves, which should take no more than two hours to complete; and chapters three and four enable participants to reflect on their experiences of faith that came to light through the exercises. The final chapter gives thoughtful suggestions for using this book with others―a kind of leader’s guide.
