The Student Text includes 23 chapters organized around three themes: Word, Worship, Witness. The first theme “God reaches out to us” is about the creed. The second “We reach out to God” covers liturgy and sacraments. The third “We Journey Together” covers prayer, the commandments, morality, the saints and the last things. Students explore Catholic beliefs, rituals and values while connecting with Catholic literature, art, architecture and prayer. This material builds a bridge for younger students between their grade school understanding of the Catholic faith and the more challenging high-school religion curriculum. “
